Identified Issues
The Need for Improvement
While the platform offered a unique space for memorialization, several challenges needed attention:
Complex User Experience – The interface was not intuitive, making it hard for some users to navigate.
Inconsistent Visual Design – A lack of cohesion affected the respectful atmosphere.
Limited Collaboration – Few sharing and content management options reduced the collective experience.
Mobile Accessibility Issues – The platform was not fully optimized for mobile use.
The improvements focused on enhancing usability, refining design, adding collaboration tools, and optimizing mobile accessibility.

Visual Design
The values that guided my design choices were connection, remembrance, and continuity. I aimed to create a user experience that allows people to feel connected to their loved ones in a respectful and meaningful way. I used blue, the original color of 'Remember,' symbolizing stability and memory, along with orange, which conveys warmth, closeness, and a sense of continuity.

Takeaway
Working on the Remember platform taught me how to balance emotional depth with clear, accessible design. I enhanced my ability to translate sensitive values - such as memory, connection, and legacy - into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
Through user research, persona development, and UX strategy, I was able to:
Simplify complex interfaces to meet the needs of older users with low digital literacy.
Design a mobile-friendly platform that is both respectful and easy to navigate.
Create a seamless, collaborative space that invites families to share memories together.
Establish a visual language that balances emotional resonance with clarity and usability.
This project deepened my belief that great design isn’t just beautiful - it’s empathetic, strategic, and truly meaningful.
